BY-LAWS

ARTICLE I Name & Object
Section 1
The name of this organization shall be: STRAWBERRY HILL FOUR WHEELERS.
Section 2
The object of this organization shall be to promote safe and responsible off-road
recreation while having fun as families and friends. When on runs we will stay in
authorized areas and preserve the environment. As members of the Pacific Northwest Four
Wheel Drive Association (PNW4WDA) we will uphold their Constitution and by-laws.
ARTICLE II Membership
Section 1
Membership Requirements shall be:
18 years of age or older.
Must own a four wheel drive vehicle.
Hold a valid drivers license.
Have minimum vehicle insurance as required by State Law.
Must be recommended by a member in good standing.
Must be voted on by the Membership Committee at such time as the prospect is not
present. The Membership Committee shall consist of the club officers.
Any family member over 18 who owns their own four wheel drive vehicle must complete
their own membership requirements.
Must go on one (1) official run and attend one (1) meeting prior to being voted on by
the Membership Committee.
Prospective new members should be given a copy of the by-laws to read before applying
for membership.
A prospective new member has a maximum of 6 months/6 runs to complete membership
requirements, after which time they will be dropped from the mailing list.
New members are required to attend one (1) Regional Delegates meeting to learn about
the region.
New members will be given a membership card to advise them of acceptance.
Section 2
To keep membership current and in good standing, members must attend at least three (3)
functions per year, otherwise they become inactive. A function is defined as a meeting or
a run.
ARTICLE III Dues
Section 1
Dues will be the current PNW4WDA amount plus $15.00, which is to be kept by our club.
The balance is sent to the PNW4WDA Treasurer. As of this revision, PNW4WDA dues are
$25.00. Total dues are $40.00.
Section 2
Dues are due on January 1st, delinquent on January 15th. PNW4WDA
dues must reach their treasurer by January 31st. There is a 10% delinquent
penalty charged PER MONTH that dues are not paid.
ARTICLE IV Meeting
Section 1
Meetings will be held once a month.
ARTICLE V Officers
& Duties
Section 1
The officers of the club shall be: President, Vice-President,
Secretary, Treasurer and two (2) Delegates. A person may hold more than one office at a
time, with the exception of concurrent President and Vice-President.
Section 2
Duties for each office shall be as follows:
PRESIDENT presides at all meetings, sign all membership cards,
and appoint all committees.
VICE-PRESIDENT - preside at meetings in the event of the
Presidents absence, handle all Public Relations and inter-club communications,
handle all Club Power or We Did It projects including paperwork, and write articles for
Tri-Power on club projects.
SECRETARY maintain membership records, send out meeting notices,
keep minutes, maintain correspondence.
TREASURER keep custody of club funds, make all disbursements,
notify all members at least 30 days prior to the annual dues date, handle club level
ways-n-means ordering and income.
DELEGATES attend at least three (3) Regional Delegates meetings
annually in representation of our club. Relay to/from Regional meetings all information.
WEB MASTER make and maintain club web site, set up email
accounts relating to club web site.
ARTICLE VI Committees
The President will appoint any committees deemed necessary.
ARTICLE VII Amendments to by-laws
Any member in good standing may submit a written by-law change proposal. This will be
discussed and voted on at the next meeting and will require a 2/3 majority of members
present for ratification.
ARTICLE VIII Insignia & Decals
Any member in good standing may purchase any insignia and/or decal, which may be
available. These insignias MUST BE REMOVED when a member is no longer in good
standing.
ARTICLE IX Run Guidelines
All rigs must be in fairly sound mechanical condition. All members will conduct
themselves in a responsible manner. Recklessness and flagrant disregard for safety will
not be tolerated. Malicious destruction of trails also will not be tolerated. A minimum of
three (3) club vehicles must be present to be an official run. There will be a limit of
one (1) guest vehicle per member. Other PNW4WDA members are not considered guests.
ARTICLE X Dissolution
Section 1
Should this organization be dissolved, the following will apply:
All debts will be paid.
All financial obligations will be met.
Section 2
When all of Section 1 has been met, the remaining club funds/assets will be contributed
to the PNW4WDA GENERAL FUND.
